Background:
Dexmate develops robots for research labs where scientists train AI models to perform physical tasks, such as moving and placing objects. To train these robots, researchers need large amounts of real-world data—such as joint movements and sensor readings. Today, this process is slow and complicated because every step requires advanced robotics knowledge and coding skills.

The Challenge:
Our challenge was to make the platform usable by everyone on the research team—not just senior robotics engineers. We wanted junior users to independently collect robot data, quickly set up controls, monitor sensor data in real time, and run experiments safely and efficiently, even with limited robotics knowledge.
